“You don’t feel it? The bird on your head?”

“Sure,” she smiled.

“It’s not too heavy?”

She wiped the bangs from her eyes and joyfully showed the gap between her front teeth.  “Hope won’t weigh me down.”

And off they skipped, barely touching the ground.
